Welcome to Our School

Welcome to our La Petite Academy educational daycare and preschool in Albuquerque, NM! We are located in the Ladera shopping center. My name is Orlina and I am the school director. I have an associate's degree in early childhood education and more than 30 years of experience as a teacher and manger.

We are accredited by the National Early Childhood Program Accreditation and our school offers Preschool, Pre-Kindergarten and other age-specific programs.

I run my learning center like everyone involved is a part of my family. I strive to create a warm and welcoming environment and maintain an open-door policy for everyone. We plan a lot of fun activities for our children and families to help build strong relationships.

I am fortunate to have a staff that loves their children and is dedicated to making sure they have a great experience at school. All staff is required to receive 30 hours of ongoing training throughout the year.

Orlina Teague, Director

Education: Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education

I have worked in early childhood over 30 years. I also taught Kindergarten for about two years. I have four boys and 13 grandchildren. I have worked for La Petite for about 23 years and I love all the hugs I get from the children!

Certifications: Bachelor's in Education

My name is MaryAnn Azpeitia, and I have over 10 years of experience working with children. I have taught from Pre-K to 4th. I love working at La Petite with some amazing staff, and best of all, I get to work with small children. My goal is to earn my Masters Degree in Early Childhood by the end of 2023.
