Two's Program at La Petite Academy

Two is one of your youngster's most dynamic years in terms of sheer achievement. His activity level is high. He has a new sense of self and independence. His language skills are emerging and his vocabulary will grow dramatically. As a parent, you know that it's enormously important for anyone spending time with a child of this age to have a lot of patience.

The role of adults in your two-year-old's life right now is a critical and active one. Our Two's teachers love this age, and they have the patience, the attitude and the demeanor to help make your child's Academy experience truly special.

It's a year of incredible development that presents numerous opportunities for teachers.

They will spend a lot of time answering the many "Why?" and "What?" questions your child will ask. They will actively teach new words during one-on-one and group interactions. They will spend hours nurturing your two-year-old and helping her develop the skills she needs to become a successful preschooler.

Our Two's teachers look forward to lots of laughs as your child acquires his own sense of humor, lots of love as he becomes better able to express his gratitude, and lots of amazement as he expands his ability to think and to say provocative and interesting things.

Our teachers come to us with a variety of early childhood backgrounds, and all grow and improve through our extensive training and professional development support programs.

Teachers go through a comprehensive three-day training program that gives them a thorough understanding of the Academy's standards and curriculum, as well as explores child development issues. They work with trainers, with members of our experienced Education team, with other teachers and also on their own to ensure they have all the tools necessary to be the kind of teacher you expect and we demand.

No matter how new or experienced they are, all of our teachers have access to numerous professional development opportunities through La Petite Academy's Education Department.
