Keeping Parents in the Loop

One of the keys to ensuring the best Academy experience possible for your child and yourself is great communication. We hope you'll speak to us often about what your child is doing at home. For our part, the Academy has many ways to keep you updated on what she does while he's here and what is happening at the Academy.

The Daily Family Connection Communicationhighlights developing relationships among the children, various activities your child participated in that day and key milestones that she has reached. Routine information such as nap times, eating and toileting progress is also recorded.

A family letter is provided at the beginning of each Unit that includes information about the theme for the period and tips on how you can extend and enrich your child's development at home.

Twice a year, you receive your child's developmental progress chart. During the rest of the year, you can periodically check this chart within your child's portfolio, which also contains work that your child has created.

Also, twice a year we arrange parent-teacher conferences.

The Family Communications Center within your child's classroom is the place to find the weekly lesson plan, teacher information, parent newsletters, classroom schedule, and Two's milestones.

There are plenty of opportunities to connect face-to-face with your child's teachers and the Academy Director at pick-up and drop-off time. If that's not convenient for you, we are always available for an extra conference or meeting should the need arise.
