Know How Your Child Is Doing

Artwork Displays

Want to quickly learn about what your child has been doing? Just take a look around his classroom. Our teachers proudly display all of the children's work, and each display is labeled with the date and name of the activity. After seeing what your child has accomplished, you'll have even more to talk about with him.

Take-Home Folders

Each child has a take-home folder, which includes items that you should take home - such as the newsletters, artwork, notes from the teacher and more. Look through the folder and compare his work as the year goes on. You'll get caught up on what your child has been working on and how well he's progressing.

Assessments

Our two's and preschool teachers perform periodic assessments on each child. This information is used to help teachers determine where children need more development so they can create effective lesson plans. For more information on each program's assessments, visit the Program Details section of our site and select the appropriate program.

Infant, Toddler and Two's

If your child is in one of these programs, you'll get a written report each day from his teacher that includes information on temperament, napping, toileting, eating and the activities in which he participated. Parents of two's receive their child's developmental progress chart twice during the year. You can also periodically check this chart within your child's portfolio, which also contains work that he's done throughout the school year. Our two's teachers are also happy to participate in parent-teacher conferences two times a year.

Early Preschool, Preschool and Pre-K

Parent-teacher conferences are scheduled during 1st and 4th quarters to go over your child's progress reports, assessment results, work and interactions in the classroom. You will also receive progress reports during the 2nd and 3rd quarters.
