Why Us

Our teachers strive to create the most nurturing, positive learning environment possible, and our goal is to establish a close-knit community with our families. We welcome parent participation through volunteering in the classroom or helping out on field trips. We also hold family activities frequently – this helps families get to know each other and our staff. We have an indoor village, where the children can play when the weather isn’t friendly enough for outside play. Child safety is a priority at La Petite Academy; in keeping with this, our facility is completely secure. Parents must use a code to enter the building. People who don’t have the code must be let in by a member of management, and we always check the identification of anyone we don’t recognize.

Our Programs

La Petite Academy’s curriculum is industry leading. Developed by our team of education experts, our curriculum is based on age-appropriate learning objectives. Teachers in all of our classrooms have hundreds of activities to choose from, each of which is tied to a specific learning objective. At our school, children will not only make the developmental progress necessary for success in school, they’ll love the activities that help prepare them! Infant Program (6+ Weeks): Our CPR and first-aid certified infant room teachers have been with us since 2006. They develop lesson plans and activities based on the ages of the children who are enrolled at any given time. Particular attention is paid to creating a stimulating environment for our infants. We work with the infants on their language development and fine and gross motor skills. Part-time enrollment is available. Toddler Program (12+ Months): Our toddler program is designed to engage your child in activities that encourage fine and gross motor skills, language development and learning social skills. Our teachers specialize in working with each child at any developmental stage with stimulating, age-appropriate activities. We are happy to offer a part-time program. Preschool/Pre-Kindergarten Program (4-5 Years): Our experienced preschool/pre-kindergarten teachers use the Journey curriculum, a year-round curriculum that ties themed units to specific learning activities. This challenging, fun and age-appropriate program engages the whole child and helps to hone thinking, reasoning and communication skills. We also offer Kindermusik’s ABC Music & Me, an award-winning music enrichment program. Part-time enrollment is available. School-Age Program (5-12 Years):Our program for school-age children provides our students with an interactive, exciting and educational after-school experience. Our teachers provide assistance with homework, and make sure each child has the opportunity to get exercise, visit with friends, and work on individual and group projects.
