Gainesville, FL Daycare

Welcome to our wonderful daycare here in Gainesville, FL! My name is Amy and I am the Academy Director of this great daycare. I have been the director here since August of 2010, but I have been in the early childhood education field since 1999. I hold a bachelor’s degree in psychology, an ECE Staff Credential, and a Florida Director’s Credential. I have taught every preschool age group and love them all! I am grateful that my position allows me the opportunity to interact with every child and family on a daily basis. I do my best to ensure that my school is the best place for your child, and when you come to visit, you can see for yourself!

We have a wonderful group of teachers here, many have been here for 4 years or longer, and one celebrated 20 years in 2011! We have several teachers with bachelor’s/associate’s degrees and CDA’s. Others are currently enrolled to receive their CDA’s as well. We feel that continuing education is very important and vital to the success of our children, and participate in trainings and workshops whenever we have the opportunity.

Parent involvement is encouraged and welcomed here at our daycare facility! We hold several family activities each year, and are always appreciative of parent volunteers and visitors. At La Petite Gainesville, we enjoy special activities such as Pajama Day, Pirate Day, Dr. Seuss’ Birthday, as well as parties for birthdays and holidays!
