Welcome to our wonderful daycare facility here in Charlotte, NC! My name is Keisha, and I am the Academy Director of our fantastic school. I have an associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education and have been working in this field for 11 years.
From watching a child’s first steps to seeing them develop a love of reading, the rewards of our job as educators are many and the staff is grateful for the opportunity to make a difference in not only the lives of area children but also their parents. Family is critically important to us and we encourage parents to become involved within our Charlotte community. In addition to volunteering in class, we conduct various activities throughout the year to engage the parents and get them to participate.

They hone their already top-notch skills through ongoing training offered by the state. Safety is a paramount concern and so we have equipped the school with a biometric security system. Those who do not have access may only be admitted by a staff member. We always check identification of people we don’t recognize.
Our Programs
La Petite Academy’s curriculum is industry leading. Developed by our team of education experts, our curriculum is based on age-appropriate learning objectives. Teachers in all our classrooms have hundreds of activities from which to choose, each tied to a specific learning objective. At our school, children will not only make the developmental progress necessary for success in school, they will love the activities that help prepare them!
Infant Program (6+ Weeks):
One of our biggest assets is the experience of our teachers, one of whom has been with us for 19 years providing stimulating educational activities. We ensure that all children meet or surpass their educational goals. A part-time program is available.
Toddler Program (12+ Months):
We cater to the individual child and base lesson programs on particular growth needs. Our teachers are highly trained with years of experience in the early childhood education field. We provide stimulating, age-appropriate activities every day. We also have a weekly sign language class.
Preschool/Pre-Kindergarten Program (4-5 Years):
To accommodate parental schedules, we offer not only full-day programs but also morning and afternoon sessions. We work with local schools to ensure the students are fully ready for kindergarten. Children are engaged in fun activities that help them develop educational skills such as foundational concepts and how to think critically. Part-time enrollment is available. Spanish is offered as an extracurricular.
School-Age Program (5-12 Years):
During the school year, we focus on providing homework support. We offer a computer lab for children 9 and older. Our teachers work closely with the students to provide assistance in all subjects.
