Make-A-Wish Foundation®* and RMHC®** improve children’s lives. And, at La Petite Academy, we do all we can to help.
Not only do these great causes benefit from our support, but so do the children in our child care. Through our involvement with these organizations, the students in our educational daycare learn valuable lessons about the importance of compassion and caring – lessons that will last a lifetime.
Founded in 1980, the Make-A-Wish Foundation grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. With the help of generous donors and nearly 25,000 volunteers, the Make-A-Wish Foundation grants wishes every forty minutes and has granted more than 20,000 wishes in the United States since its inception.
To date, La Petite Academy has raised more than $7 million for the Make-A-Wish Foundation® through our annual Fall Festival and other fund-raising events.
Through the Ronald McDonald House®, the Ronald McDonald Family Room® and the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile®, RMHC “create, find and support programs that improve the health and well-being of children.” RMHC is there for children and there family members in 54 countries and regions. It also helps fund other nonprofit organizations that align with its mission. Local chapters award thousands of scholarships annually to outstanding students entering college.
La Petite Academy food drives and our Fall Festival raise money for RMHC. Teams from La Petite Academy go to local Ronald McDonald Houses to cook meals for the families staying there.
